Do you have a child whose teeth are not straight and they are unhappy about it? Are you an adult sick of living with teeth that are crooked and out of line? This can be hard to deal and cause many people to have low self-esteem and to adjust their smile based on their bad teeth. The good news is; if you want to have straight teeth you can! The process that it takes to get your teeth looking the way you want has changed a lot over the years. The standard metal braces is no longer the only option that you have. Although this may be a great choice for a younger child or teenager, it may be unsightly for an adult that has chosen to do something to obtain the straight teeth they have always wanted. When you have beautifully straight teeth you will smile more and have a boost in confidence.
Invisalign is Great For Older Kids & Adults: If you want to adjust your teeth to make them straight but don’t want to be stuck with metal on your teeth, Invisalign is a great choice for you. Invisalign is a clear option that is removable and will work with a series of trays that are made as you go. The great thing is that you can remove the tray to eat, brush and floss. You want to be sure that you are responsible enough to handle these removable options so that you don’t lose them. You also need to make sure that you keep your appointments to adjust your trays as necessary.
Pros to Damon Clear Braces: This is a great choice if you still want to have a clear option but do not want them to be removable. The ceramic brackets are made from a clear product that is then affixed to the teeth and anchored a lot like the standard metal braces are. The Damon Clear braces need to be cleaned often to be sure that they remain clear and unstained. They are also a bit more fragile which means the patient will need to be much more careful when eating and playing sports so as to not break them.
Traditional Metal Braces: This is another option that is used most often. Many parents that are getting braces for a child or teenager choose to go this route. The benefits of this process is that they are sturdier and are easier to care for. The metal braces will not be able to be hidden and the patient will need to deal with it for a short time in order to achieve the beautiful straight smile they desire.
